Tao 'Mechworks grew out of the confluence of several factors. One, ever since I saw the name in Objective Raids, a BattleTech sourcebook for those who wanted to raid and pillage for fun and profit, I've wanted to use it for something. (For those who were wondering where in the book it was, it's the 'Mech factory on Styx. It made......Victors....I think.
The second part was that I was getting my own DSL service, which this homepage is being hosted off of. Kudos to DynDNS.org for allowing me to tie my dynamic IP to my domain name. I owe you. With good connection speed provided by Verizon, the rest was easy. Remaining kudos go to Apple for Mac OS X. I can't say enough good things about it, especially because they put Apache in for web serving.

Last, but not least being that I've always wanted to set up a site where I could just have a lot of fun setting up stuff to see if they worked, like an online photo album. That's pretty much it. Enjoy your time here and thanks for reading this.
